How to choose the molding method for a fully automatic casting molding machine?
The selection of modeling methods for fully automatic casting molding machines should be based on a comprehensive consideration of multiple factors, mainly including:
1、 Dimensional accuracy of castings. When producing castings with high dimensional accuracy and high surface quality requirements, the molding method of sand mold compactness should be chosen.
2、 Casting material. The requirements for sand mold stiffness vary depending on the material of the casting. Generally, the requirements for cast steel and cast iron are higher than those for non ferrous alloys, while ductile iron is higher than gray iron and malleable iron. For materials with high requirements for sand mold stiffness, it is advisable to choose a molding method with high sand mold compactness.
3、 Casting structure. When the casting has narrow grooves, high hanging sand, dense air holes, etc., a molding method with high mold lifting accuracy and uniform sand mold compaction should be selected.
4、 Casting yield, batch size, and variety. Castings with high production capacity, large batch size, and single variety should use high-efficiency or specialized molding equipment; Small batches and multiple varieties of castings should use molding equipment with flexible processes and convenient production organization. Handmade styling is preferred for single piece production.
5、 Shape, size, and weight of castings. When conditions permit, castings with similar shapes, small differences in size and weight should use the same molding machine. This is especially true when the sand box needs to be equipped with straps to facilitate the uniformity of the sand box.
6、 Requirements for molding sand. When arranging multiple sets of molding machines on a production line, the selection of molding machines should consider a unified molding sand as much as possible.
7、 Supporting equipment for the styling workshop. This is particularly important during the renovation of the old workshop. It is necessary to combine the production capacity, process level, transportation conditions, and process flow of the original workshop building conditions, other supporting equipment (such as smelting and sand treatment), and analyze them from a systems engineering perspective to determine which molding machine is more suitable for use, in order to maximize investment benefits.
8、 Tooling conditions. The dimensional accuracy and surface roughness level of the pattern should match the selected molding machine.
9、 Priority should be given to selecting less polluting (low noise, no harmful gases emitted) equipment that can meet environmental protection, industrial hygiene, and labor safety requirements.
10、 A high-efficiency fully automatic molding machine should be equipped with a molding line instead of being used alone.
